FDOT’s Alert Today Alive Tomorrow campaign took to the speedway in Daytona Beach during the 4th of July holiday weekend. This campaign is part of the statewide and year-round effort to eliminate injuries and deaths on Florida roadways, especially among pedestrians and bicyclists.

You might remember the #29 Alert Today Alive Tomorrow Toyota Camry from Daytona’s Speedweeks earlier this year. Florida native Scott Lagasse Jr. was once again behind the wheel promoting this important message.

This partnership increases visibility of the safety campaign, especially with so many there to see the races. It was the perfect opportunity to educate and reach out to the thousands in attendance. A booth was also set up in the midway where event-goers took a short survey to see just how much they knew about pedestrian and bicycle safety. The FDOT crew stationed at the booth stayed busy the entire time answering questions!
