Drive A Scout To School

On Thursday November 13, 2014, TeamSLR’s Drive a Scout to School Program made its way to Air Base K-8 Center for International Education School. Cub Scout and second grader, Caleb Sowinski, will be driven to school by Scott Lagasse Jr. himself in the NASCAR Alert Today Alive Tomorrow, Boy Scouts of America race car.

The pair arrived at 8:45am at Air Base K-8 Center for International Education, 12829 SW 272 St. Homestead, Florida 33032 and were greeted by all of his fellow second grade students in front of the school.

Lagasse Jr. is the face of the Florida Department of Transportation’s message of Alert Today, Alive Tomorrow. The core of the message is promoting Bicycle and Pedestrian safety for both motorists and youth.
