The Florida Department of Transportation received three regional awards in the 2014 America’s Transportation Awards competition:
A new SunPass-only exit ramp opened to traffic the morning of June 23 for southbound Turnpike motorists headed west on Hollywood/Pines Boulevard.

The Florida Department of Transportation has completed a $1.08 million repair and renovation of the historic Fort Lauderdale Train Station on the South Florida Rail corridor.

FDOT District Four has received another award for the Dixie Highway Flyover project, a four-lane bridge that moves traffic over the Hillsboro Canal and a busy rail crossing between Deerfield Beach and Boca Raton.

District Four has implemented a pilot program to help motorists find their way through major, multi-level interchanges in southwest Broward County. Large decals have been applied to the pavement in the I-595/I-75/Sawgrass Expressway in the Sunrise-Weston area.
