Florida Department of Transportation employees participated in two events to bring safety to the forefront and drive down fatalities by taking part in Walk Like MADD events in Tallahassee and Orlando.

FDOT partnered with the Tampa Bay Rays to promote the Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over campaign. The signs were displayed all around the stadium.
Law enforcement agencies in north Florida, Alabama and Georgia met at state borders and committed to work together over the Labor Day weekend to encourage safe driving across the nation.
FDOT awarded the Wakulla County Sheriff’s Office a black 2013 Chevrolet Tahoe, valued at $43,000, through a National Highway Traffic Safety Administration grant.
