Of all the thousands of participants across the country, the CarFit program recently celebrated its 50,000th driver in the state of Florida. Florida is a leader in the nation for the number of CarFit events held.

Keeping Seniors Safe and Mobile
FDOT participated in the Safety is Golden Mobility Fair at the Tamarac Community Center. It included a CarFit event and 20 vendors that distributed safety resources to 155 older adults.
Wakulla County CarFit Event
CarFit is an educational program that offers older adults the opportunity to check how well their personal vehicles “fit” them. It also provides information that could enhance their safety and increase their mobility in the community.
Dump the Pump
Hillsborough’s “Dump the Pump” Day event provided seniors information about available transit services, tips on safe walking, and how these resources can help them prepare to safely transition from driving when necessary.
